The importance of partnerships – our work in Scotland with Carbon Reduction Innovations Ltd
It’s well known that FlexiSolar is committed to helping organisations generate onsite energy at scale in a renewable form. Just as important to the team, is our commitment to developing excellent stakeholder partnerships too.
FlexiSolar invited Carbon Reduction Innovation Ltd (CRI) to visit our event stand at All-Energy this week, to show their support and appreciation to them as a key sector partner. FlexiSolar is working throughout Scotland to bring their large scale solar carport vision to businesses across the country – and the growing relationship with CRI Ltd is a key component of its work.
CRI Ltd, who will carry out ongoing servicing and maintenance of FlexiSolar’s completed projects in Scotland, will also bring their innovation and expertise to the partnership in the areas of Electric Vehicle Charging Systems, LED lighting systems and Smart City Technology.
Tom Callaghan, CRI’s Managing Director was joined by fellow directors Craig Smith and Jim Mooney at the event to meet with East Kilbride MSP Linda Fabiani who expressed her delight and congratulations to the East Kilbride company on news of their partnership with FlexiSolar. CRI hope to work closely with many emerging projects to delivery low carbon solutions throughout Scotland, addressing and embracing constantly evolving legislation.
Like FlexiSolar, CRI Ltd are driven to help meet Scotland’s renewable goals, and are committed supporters of our large scale, onsite, projects to generate power from solar powered carports.
There’s no shortage of commitment to an increased renewables focus in Scotland, with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon sharing her desire for Scotland to be a world leader in the area, as well as the recent publication of an energy strategy to set out the Scottish Government’s long-term vision for the future energy system in Scotland. In 2017 alone, Scotland met over 68% of its energy needs through renewable sources.
FlexiSolar’s solar carport structures are backed by Innovate UK and enable organisations to generate onsite energy at scale in a renewable form. A clear solution, available right now, to provide reduced costs, revenue generation and energy supply and price security; as well as a premium, weatherproof parking experience for staff or customers. Plus, with the ability to incorporate EV charging points and future proof your carport for additional EVCP (Electric Vehicle Charging Point) infrastructure as demand grows, and the flexibility to integrate a sized battery storage system (for peak shaving benefits), our large scale solar carports can help to prepare sites for the low carbon transport of the future too.
Our desire continues to grow to help support Scotland’s increased renewables future – and so do our partnerships. Our thanks to Carbon Reduction Innovation Ltd (CRI) for being on the journey with us.
