Meet the expert sales team we've recruited to get the UK ready for the electric vehicles revolution

We've today announced details of the expert renewables team we have recruited to work with organisations across the country to provide integrated solar carport solutions.


Backed by Innovate UK, the UK's innovation agency, FlexiSolar formally entered the market in 2017 as a design, manufacturing, installation and operations company specialising in the integration of solar panels, electric vehicle charging points and carports. Innovate UK has backed FlexiSolar as part of its focus on driving the science and technology innovations that will grow the UK economy.

Business Development Director, Adam Goves most recently ran his own energy consultancy and commercial solar installation companies; featuring long term retained contracts with companies such as Lark Energy. At Lark, Adam was instrumental in developing and expanding the portfolio of renewable technology delivery; providing consultancy services within the group and for its clients.


Adam was also previously Sales Manager at RenEnergy Ltd and his journey into the sector began with Danfoss/Devi in Denmark. There he managed the UK and Ireland renewable energy and heating project sales operations under the Devi brand; delivering exponential sales growth and a pan European training, transition and mentoring programme for Devi’s European offices.

Sales Director, Guy Morrison joins FlexiSolar from Poweri Services Ltd, the installers of Europe’s first Tesla Powerpack, where he was Sales and Business Development Manager. Guy has many years’ experience in sales and project management of solar PV projects and peak-shaving solutions for commercial and industrial clients. Previous experience comes from Chargemaster plc and Lark Energy.

Adam Goves and Guy Morrison are supported by three new Business Development Managers.

Based in Newcastle, Dawn Welsh specialises in business development within new and growth markets; having gained valuable knowledge and experience of renewables whilst at both Danfoss and Ebac. This skillset is further complimented by her experience as a Power LV Sales Engineer with Schneider Electric.

From Edinburgh, Conal McElroy brings over eight years renewables experience in wind power, most recently as Sales Director at Absolute, where he was responsible for creating the wind division, with a turbine range of 10-500KW. Conal also brings experience from his time as Regional Sales Manager (Scotland) at SIAC Wind Energy (UK) Ltd and as Business Development Manager at Atmos Consulting Ltd.

Working from Cheltenham, Nigel Addison-Evans is a highly experienced key account and Business Development Manager, with over 14 years of experience within the energy sector; gained from an energy supplier and in consultancy.  Nigel has worked with large I&C corporate and public sector clients in the UK, Europe and globally; providing advice on how to reduce energy costs.

Speaking about the new appointments, Tim Evans, Chief Executive of FlexiSolar said “The large scale generation of power through solar energy is an important development for the future and it was essential that we sourced a highly experienced sales team to drive our clear national remit. I look forward to working with this excellent team to support the fundamental need for large scale energy production for the electric vehicles revolution.”


The FlexiSolar sales team are also supported by Account Manager Sarah Glover who joins from Bradshaw Electric Vehicles and Office Manager Amy-Nadine Duffy, originally from Gasway Services Limited. An announcement confirming details of FlexiSolar’s operations team will also be made shortly.


With over 100 years combined renewable energy experience, the FlexiSolar team are working with organisations and local authorities across the country to discuss their large scale solar carport requirements. The business is set to begin work on a large scale national project this spring, details of which will be announced shortly.
