British Renewable Energy Awards shortlist success
We're delighted to confirm that FlexiSolar is on the shortlist for the 2018 British Renewable Energy Awards in three distinct categories. We're in the running for Innovation, Best Project, and Smart Energy System - and will find out if we've won in a dedicated awards ceremony in London on 14th June 2018.
FlexiSolar has been selected as a shortlisted entrant in the 'Best Project' category in recognition of its recently announced project with Bentley Motors, which sees FlexiSolar construct and install the UK’s largest solar carport system.
Now in its 13th year, the British Renewable Energy Awards is classed the most prestigious event in the UK's renewable energy industry calendar. Our inclusion on the shortlist demonstrates that FlexiSolar is seen to be a UK champion and innovator in renewable energy and clean technologies.
Michelle T Davies, International Head of Clean Energy and Sustainability, Eversheds Sutherland and one of this year’s esteemed judges said: “From large companies to small, from community-based to corporate, the UK’s renewable energy and clean tech sectors demonstrate innovation, resilience, and adaptability year-on-year. The British Renewable Energy Awards showcase the best of the sector and I look forward to working with this outstanding judging panel to evaluate 2018’s brightest companies.”
FlexiSolar is a proud member of the British Renewable Association; the not-for-profit trade association that presents the British Renewable Energy Awards, whose main objective is to secure the best legislative and regulatory framework for expanding renewable energy production in the UK.
A commitment to best practice is key at FlexiSolar, with us working with The Building Research Establishment (BRE) to develop and publish the 2018 ‘Multifunctional Solar Car Parks: A good practice guide for owners and developers’ publication, launched at EcoBuild earlier this year.
